MEDICAL ASSISTANT

DENTAL ASSISTANT

As a Dental Assistant, you will have the satisfaction of helping numerous patients improve their smile and their dental health. Dental Assistants play a key role in the smooth functioning of a dental office by performing many tasks to support Dentists and Hygienists. You may prepare patients for cleanings or procedures; provide suction or other assistance for procedures; sterilize equipment; and maintain patient records.

At Eastern College of Health Vocations, you will receive high-quality dental assistant training from experienced faculty and staff. A combination of lectures, labs, and hands-on experience will prepare you to move confidently from the classroom to your first day on the job. The Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts that Dental Assisting will be one of the fastest-growing occupations over the next 10 years, forecasting 25% growth by 2022. Each graduate will be tested through NAHP, National Association for Health Professionals, to become either a Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) or Nationally Registered Certified Dental Assistant (NRCDA).
